Computer suddenly stopped working and won’t boot

What was stuck

It would not boot at all, so there was nothing to try from the computer itself, and she needed it working again.

What we did

We picked the computer up and found what had failed, which was the processor. We supplied a new one that was an upgrade over the old part, installed it, and kept her updated the whole way through.
